How life changed after one term in a B school

This blog i was supposed to post in oct 2007 and somehow couldn't manage to do it for next 11 months.Surprising isn't it.Any how seeing blogs of other people i got to know about the writer in myself and i have to wear that hat to complete this 11 months blog (age of the blog). So few things might look quiet out of context. Coz the few lines of the blog were written 11 months away.

So almost 5 months are over at one of the premier B school in India. There is obviously difference between two blogs of mine but its bound to happen more so over when you are in a B School of repute. So here i am as busy as prime minister of any country, doing some work or other all the times without actually really getting output.Having two years of experience while coming to this school, all the habits of reading books and writing on paper were forgotten because of so called Software experience where you just need to sign and that too only on few days of month and as far as reading books is concerned, only magazines and novels are supposed to be read.

But here i was again ready to write the long answer sheets (But some how i couldn't get an additional sheet even till my 5th term and just used to get complex by seeing few people who used to write additional B and C copies in exams) and reading the so called text books which i guess are of no use during your tenure because actually this is all global stuff n gyan that you learn in a B School. While in placements what matters how well u can speak the global stuff.

Anyways within few days daily bathing habits changed to first once in two days and then gradually changed to once in three days and if you are bit more lazy as u can be at times then it can very easily be once in 4 days.Surely people who are reading this stuff would be shrinking there nose but then you can't help it.

After few days you tend to forget how the breakfast at the canteen tastes and you go for breakfast only on those days when you are thrown out of the class because you are late in the class beyond the so called deadlines set by professors.and may be if u like jalebi which is rarity these days then u would tend to take some pains and gets up on sunday morning at 8 or 9 in the morning when you have slept at 6-7 in the morning.

People having their love interests(generally true for boys) tend to look for first opportunity where they can say to their friends that now i wont be able to call you so frequently because i am not earning any more so its you who have to call me whenever i give you a miss call.though what's interesting is that most of them have other friends in local circle with whom ppl spent talking whole night on cells (This one is for my room mate).

Somehow sitting in front of computer and doing one thing or other which ultimately would not lead to any fruitful results becomes the habit and all the assignments and project works kept pending till the last date of the submission and you need to do them when the time for submission is just few hours away.

Sleeping habits which were used to be 8 hours before joining the college have been reduced to 3-4 hours and surprisingly time is not spent in reading books and doing assignments.Rest of sleep is completed in the lectures if you are lucky enough to get a seat where you can sleep without being watched by teacher. But progressively this has become difficult while the golden time was in 3rd term when the courtesy of many professors helped to complete the lost sleep in their lectures. As many as 3 proffs (OM-2,IB and BC ) have given luxury to sleep in class.

Every 3 month term can be realised one Saturday when u know that exams (either mid term or end term) are looming large on head from next Monday.and even then people like me tend to forget it saying that it's a mere rumor nothing else.Although results of same can be realised when i tend to see my GPA in the OLT after every term.

Projects which are supposed to be only learning activity (Assuming that no professor here is good enough to teach students in classroom) are being done already till final term courtesy to senior with due respect to all those seniors who have done these projects many time back and since then they are being presented to the teacher in a new wrapping and he happily accepts the projects and sometimes accept the fact that we people have done some real great work.

Somehow u keep on wasting time here and there and keep on saying to the people outside that life in a B school is really tough proportion to handle. But even after all these changes in the life i can very safely say that these two years would always be close to my heart in the chapter of my life.

and at last for my friends

A real bad day

In the journey of life everyone is bound to come across good days when everything seems to be going their way and then there are days when everyting seems to be wrong. So for me the bad day comes on 24th august while i was on my way back home.

Although it is my first blog but still i want to start this blog at some point of time.So while going home on rakhi vacation i got my reservation done. But while i reached at the station both the dehradoon-indore express (Up and down) were standing at the station. And no prizes to guess that i boarded the wrong one as it was going to be my bad day. Then i got down from that train at the outer ghaziabad.Till the time i could get back to the original train,i have already missed that.Anyways i reached New delhi station hoping that imight get any other train.

Navyug was supposed to be arrived at 14:00 local time but did not come till 15:00 which was to hapen because of the bad day i am mentioning about.SO at this point i decided to go for a local train so that i can reach "Hazrat nizamuddin" to catch either "Sachkhand express" or "Mahakaushal express" or "Goa express. But as soon as tried to board the local i found that my purse was missing. Now this purse includes my College ID card,My Driving license,Two ATM's and two credit cards,Two hundred rs my reserved ticket to back home and most importantly the 2 Vaishno devi shrine board coin that i got from my previous two visits there.

But as there is always god's helping hand i knew about it at the same time and got all my cards bloacked with the help of my younger brother "Pankaj Saraswat".So there i was at new delhi station without a single penny in my pocket.I boarded a train to nizamuddin and then went to "Mathura" (My home town) without ticket. This was simply too much there was no space in the train and i have to travel for almost 4 hours staning on my one leg.

So that was the real bad day of my life. But by the grace of god it did not not turned into the worst day of my life as i got all my card blocked otherwise this could have cost me in the range of 2-2.5 laks thanks to my credit cards.

this was my first blog on my blog space.Continue to check this bogspce for more update about me.Hoping that a good day is just round the corner.
